Kala is one of the oldest and the most picturesque parts of Tbilisi. It is also called - the old town. It was completely destroyed during the mongol invasion, but the new houses were built on the same fundaments, so the street network is the same as it was in 5th - 6th centuries. Officially Kala is a part of Mtatsminda region.
